Last month’s workshop was such an amazing experience. The location, the fashion, the detail in every setting was breathtaking. And stepping into the teaching role was something that I found to be so enjoyable. Getting to share my knowledge and experience, helping other photographers to achieve their vision was really special. And seeing the amazing work that all of our attendees created just blows me away. This was our very first workshop but I don’t think I will ever forget it. Thank you so much to everyone who made it possible and the amazing effort that we saw you put into this, without all of you all this wouldn’t have been possible.

This quote has been ringing in my ear as of late. Recently I’ve found it difficult to be an American, with so many disheartening things that are happening right now I fear we are being pulled backwards away from progress, reason, and love. When I took this second image of my daughter several years ago I was so thankful of the world that she would be growing up in and how lucky we were, but now mostly I worry for the future she will face and how to prepare her for it. We have a lot of work to do to get back on track and even more work to figure out how to bridge the divides in our beautiful country but I believe we can and will, because we must. So I will leave you with this quote and wish you a warm and hopeful 4th of July.
